Some Glorious Summer


It's summer and all that, so everything is awesome. Sun is shining. It comes out early and goes to bed late. My life has good news in it for once. I start my new job later this week. As a general rule, I don't write about my work - or my current employer - in any significant way. My new job seems to be exciting and I'm looking forward to it.

Life at home is settled. There is a routine : the toil of housework, and a growing boy who walks, gurgles, and smiles. Its wonderful seeing him become the person he is - and seeing his brother grow up into a big boy. My partner and I are overjoyed with how our life is. I'm not sure I've ever told you the long story of our life, but I've loved her for many years now, and now, I get to live my life the way I feared I might never be able to.

Two more times I get up and get that train, sit in that seat, and go to work. Only two times. But time enough. Its a strange time, and I will be sad to leave my friends and all the great work they are doing. My job is to provide and help my family and the people I care about. And the work I do is my way to provide that. But more than that, I enjoy my job greatly, and it's fun.

Buts its not all work. Life outside of work is amazing, and great. I also bought a new laptop, which will take some time to set up and sort out : and I don't have huge amounts of time at the moment. I don't have huge amounts of time full stop - but I will. Its not how much time you have : its what you do with the time you have.
