Fatherhood

It breaks my heart to hear my son talking to himself the other side of the door. To know that just hearing him talk to himself is the only interaction I will have with him all day. To know that if I just open that door and see him, I will upset him, and he will cry and scream and wake mum up. It was 6.36am, and time to go to work.
