God, All That Matters by Mark Vernon

An unusual perspective on God, in these most testing of times - insomuch as religion becomes a shorthand crutch for the definition of morality, ex-priest Vernon approaches religion ina different way. Whereas many of us now view God / Religion in the eyes of a test tube proven scientific light, God / Religion start to become a shorthand for a belief of a better world, a higher authority, a defining view of the overseeing deity, and finds that God is not necessarily a belief, but a faith in an idea. Accessable but lacking a little in humour and a little dry, it furthers the debate around the nature of a deity a little, but perhaps, not necessarily, enough to fully resolve anything.
