MARK'S NOTCAST Ep 404 : 1984's "Dune" gets a mega 6 BluRay box set in Germany... 28 August 2024



Released about three months ago and only in Germany, David Lynch's troubled 1984 science fiction epic "Dune", finally gets a comprehensive and deserving home video release, featuring 3 cuts of the movie - including a definitive fanedit being released in HD for the first time - 2 discs of multiple documentaries and a 4K release of the incomplete Theatrical Cut. Lynch disowned this film, as final cut was taken out of his hands, and this edition also features the incoherently bloated, yet castrated, TV edition. A full breakdown of the contents, licensing rights, the 2021 Arrow edition, and the packaging gets detailed. This is the definitive home release of this much loved film. 28 August 2024.
